The Deoxyribonucleic Hyperdimension

I should probably begin by saying that I don't know ol' Dimitri, the Deoxyribonucleic Webmaster, and that he has nothing to do with the page you are reading now. This page is not affiliated with him in any way. This is quite simply a chance for me to praise what I consider to be by far the most astounding web site I have seen.

From a purely asthetic point of view, this page is marvellous; the Netscape-enhanced pages are a seemless construction of HTML. Although the main page clearly warns against viewing it with less than thousands of colors in your display, I personally run a big 16 colors under Windows and the place still looks great. (However, havin' done so myself, it IS worth checking out in millions of colors!) And despite the graphic-intensive nature of the site, it is still very usable even when employing a 14.4 modem connection. The sound bites scattered all over the place further enhance the hypertext experience.

As much as can be said about all the pretty pictures, sound and colors, however, the real key to my amazement with the Hyperdimension is in the information it provides, both in quantity and quality. I couldn't begin to summarize the content of the site; I still haven't seen it all! Suffice to say that regardless who you are or what you do, the DNH is definitely a place you should spend some time browsing. From politics to Shamanism to Armageddon to the writings of Leary, Wilson, Mackenna, Lilly, Watts, and on and on and on...For fnord's sake, even the links page has more than my entire site! You will be constantly challenged, provoked and maybe even illuminated, if only to a "more complex state of ignorance," as Wilson might say. What's more, Dimitri is constantly adding new information, links, graphics, sounds, etc. whereas many sites of equal size begin to stagnate, never providing anything new to the web community.

In the same way certain works of literature, art and music can be said to synthesize the sum total of the "human condition", the Deoxyribonucleic Hyperdimension can be said to encompass the sum total of "human expansion." This site exemplifies the power of the communication revolution.

Convinced yet?
