Disable Prefetch
Prefetch is a Firefox feature, enabled by default, that allows websites to cause your browser to download pages you did not request. For example, "On some searches, Google automatically instructs your browser to start downloading the top search result before you click on it. If you click on top result, the destination page will load faster than before."—Google Help Center, Results Prefetching
To disable prefetch:
- Type "about:config" the address bar.
- Scroll down to the setting "network.prefetch-next"
- Right click and select "toggle", the value changes to "False", all done.
