Proposals

Let's each draw a picture, thematic or just whatever, a day and post them on the Wiki. Recommended tools are The Gimp and Paint.NET

: Some users have posted their artwork, some has been corralled at DEOXY-Exhibition while other stuff is floating on its own - it has been suggested that maybe the 'portal' page could be better and the individual pages themselves worked on to provide something thats not a barrier to viewing the art.

Let's make a collaborative comic or story. It can have a theme or we can just let it develop as it might. Also see the Poets of Chaos forum.

: Every page on deoxy has an automatic "Wiki" link in the page header. Click that link to create or edit corresponding pages on this wiki. Share your links, suggestions, corrections, for assimilation back into the site. Expired links can usually be restored by checking the Wayback Machine with this handy Firefox Wayback Plugin extension or Wayback Machine search plugin.

: One aspect of this wiki software that relates to every other project is a certain similarity it has with systems like our forum. Just as the forum is segmented into multiple boards for discussing various topics, the wiki supports multiple independent wikis, easily linked via InterWiki. Other wikis on deoxy include media and meme. Collaborative projects, as suggested above, could be given their own wiki and URL at deoxy.org/whatever. Some of the many options include: showing or hiding it from deoxy's update lists; giving one or more people the ability to manage the wiki with extra functions to quickly rename or delete pages; a custom stylesheet (For example, use something like EditCSS to redo the stylesheet for this page); and about 200 other options (most of whose defaults suffice).

: Make appropriate links to high quality pages on deoxy from wikipedia. Watch out for pages on wikipedia that link to cheap copies of our pages and replace with a deoxy link, especially if the copied pages contain ads or are much worse quality. Leave links to better versions on other sites alone.

Import

Create a new page.
Select "ImportWikipedia" from the first drop down menu.
Click the "use template" button (see WikiTemplates).
Type the exact name of the wikipedia page into the import tag using underscore "_" for space.
Preview and edit until your masterpiece is finished, for now anyway.
