By creating the word "nothing", man actually made it into something. So there is and isn't any such a thing as no thing.
This can illustrated by the joke : "What's red and invisible ? — No tomatoes."
The human mind can conceive of no tomatoes, or no sheep, or no anything. So the concept of "nothing" exists in the human imagination. However no thing has never been observed in nature ... yet. According to quantum physics even a vacuum, which was once thought to contain no thing, is swarming with a violent flux of virtual particles.
