See InterWiki for the wikipedia shortcut. Double square brackets are used to force wiki links within this wiki, like when linking subpages (the previous link) or to make links from [phrases with whitespace]?.
Wikipedia:Whatever = Whatever
Wikipedia:what+ever = what ever
Lets see,.... Barfly
eureeka!
merci ;-)
At first I thought it was a typo,.... Then I delved further into the WikiRabbitHole and discovered WantedPages , PageProlepsis and WordsSmashedTogetherLikeSo,
(Note to self: learn more before editing other's pages,...;-)
An arguement can be made for all sides:
Personally, for Biographies (names) semi-obscure concepts (define THat ;-), I'll link to wikipedia until someone can get around to making a deoxy page (asuming the interest is there), again tis only my opinion, others may vary. As to the Edit all I had to do was 'revert to original, and like magic it appeared , the wonder of Wiki,...;-)
From WikiWord, "Smashing words together, also known as CamelCase?, is a controversial technique. It's the original wiki way of catalyzing creative expression through language creation."
"The enormous power of WikiWords is that they function as words. That allows you to frame very complex statements in a very concise language, and to say things whose subtext can be supplied and altered communally, and non-locally in time. This makes explicit a key attribute of UniversalMind."
Quite the responsibility,..use wisely

Post Edit. You want a Deoxy Burroughs page, you got it,.... (tho. 'technically' tis a media page,....best I could do, I had a need to include da voice ;-) edit at will,...
Note: is this the reason I can't link through the [[]] method? media vs wiki? Me thoughts they were two sides of the same coin,..
is slightly vexed,...
Although they use the same software each wiki on deoxy (/wiki /meme and /media) has a separate database and only knows about its own pages. Use the InterWiki shortcuts to prefix links with the name of the corresponding wiki:
Media:McKenna, Meme:AviationSmog, Wiki:VisionQuest.McKenna, AviationSmog, VisionQuest.
