Agreed. My intention homes its heart within the message of healing. I believe combat itself comes from neurosis. To counter with the same flow comes for me as the same for removing some of my, be it anybody's, delusion. Gaz
glandmaster - indeed you are correct, sir. aikido does prefer to refer to opponents as "partners" and combat situations as "encounters". after a victorious "encounter", the victor has "shared a lesson" with hir "partner". i appreciate this vocabulary on several levels. the intent, however, is not neccessarily meant to be a literal projection of traditional aikido principles, but what i perceive to be the true intention of the martial arts in general. (i chose psychic aikido because it sounds "cool":) a great example of psychic aikido is a scene in bruce lee's enter the dragon where he shows a "tough guy" type what bruce calls "the art of fighting without fighting".
i, too like the idea of "empowering peeps to see and deal with neurotic linguistic programming" and i don't really have a problem with listing various techniques after the main article as long as it's clear that the techniques themselves do not constitute what makes up the entirety of psychic aikido. when understood and used properly, psychic aikido can "share a lesson" with a single immediate "partner" or ten thousand "partners". i made a few minor edits which will hopefully clarify my intentions. let me know what youse guise think.
gaz - i'm afraid i somehow deleted your contribution to the page whilst editing!?! please feel free to re-post. sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. ah, i see it now, heh. - grouchotrout
