<li>On May 3rd 2011 a Youtube video was embedded in the page footer of deoxy.org.

<li>36 hours later it had been embedded 11,069 times which sent Youtube lots of traffic!

<li>On May 5th Youtube only shows 85 views and embedding was disabled sometime after 24 hours.

<li>Other sites routinely embed to earn the video many thousands of views and a link back from Youtube.

May 30, 2011: Three weeks later and all of a sudden timelapse video of the VLT and the sky set to music is very popular! This is what happens when a commercial website embeds a video which Youtube does not block nor falsify the statistics for:

This is what happened when deoxy.org embedded a similar (but much better imho) timelapse video of the VLT and the sky set to music three weeks earlier causing it the be viewed over 11,000 times in one day:<p>
