Aldous Leonard Huxley
1894—1963

British writer. Author of fiction including Point Counter Point, Eyeless in Gaza, and most famously, Brave New World. Also wrote numerous essays and dabbled in mysticism later on in his career, culminating in essays such as The Perrenial Philosophy and The Doors of Perception, and his utopia and final novel Island.
