An alias is a short substitute for a long command. We provide the following aliases for IRC services, which may or may not be supported by your IRC client.
The help files say to enter commands like this:
/msg nickserv COMMAND
But you can type /nickserv COMMAND or /ns COMMAND instead.

Examples
Register your current nickname:
/reg password email@lostpassword.net
Register a channel:
/reg #channel password description
Login with a registered nickname:
/id password
Login as founder or operator of a registered channel:
/id #channel password
Terminate a "ghost" IRC session using your nick:
/nickserv ghost nickname password
A "ghost" session is one which is not actually connected, but which the IRC server believes is still online. Typically, this happens if your computer crashes or your Internet or modem connection goes down while you're on IRC.
